It has been a while since I have been able to participate thanks to my kids, but I am going to take Saturday for myself. Because, after all, I am worth it.
Seriously, a day devoted to reading is essentially Christmas, your birthday, and the last day of school all rolled into one. Good books, the cheerleading, the mini-challenges – you never want it to end.
Granted, when you share your excitement with others, you may get funny looks.
Also, your family may get a little tired of being ignored. But it is all good.
After all, days like this are what we live for.
Then there’s the food because it is essential that one stays well-nourished while reading all day long.
So, this Saturday, you can find me mostly on Instagram and Twitter. Oh, I’m also on Snapchat too. I don’t know what I am going to eat. I don’t know what I am going to read. I just know I will be doing both. Will you?
