Hear the Title Track from Margaret Glaspy’s Debut Album [Stream]

We’ve had our eye on Margaret Glaspy’s lightning-strike live show and songwriting prowess for a minute now, so we’re elated to share the title track from her upcoming debut album, Emotions and Math. The song finds Glaspy exploring attachment and how goddamn bewildering and frustrating it can be to sort out. “Counting all the days ’til you’re back/shivering in an ice cold bath of emotions and math,” she sings with unnerving self-assurance, rolling the words around in her mouth like marbles from front to back amidst muscular riffs. The vibe definitely flirts with blues rock, which isn’t at all out of place with her ATO Records label mates, and the track’s pop sensibility lends itself to infinite repeated plays and compulsory head bobbing. We are intensely pro-Glaspy, and we want you to be too!
