What a difference! Last week I said I wanted to make sure I didn't eat away the calories I burned. I didn't even consider those burned calories in my caloric intake this week, and I lost 3 pounds!
Did you know you have to have a deficit of 3500 calories to burn off 1 pound? I came across that info as I was pinning to my #HealthyMommy Pinterest board. I didn't know that before (or I knew it and ignored it). I paid attention to it this week, though, and I'll certainly continue to remember it!
I continued to walk with my friends, plus I did some walking of my own. I walked a total of 10 miles this week. I made it a goal to walk 20 miles by the end of August, so I am well on my way to meet my goal.
My husband decided to join me in my efforts, which is awesome! We are going to be making better choices when it comes to food, plus we joined Planet Fitness to get in some more exercising. We went together today for the first time (and that was after I already walked 4 miles in the morning!). Our biggest challenge with it is finding someone to watch the kids or switching off and on with watching them ourselves. No biggie!
Here's this week's results:
Week 1: 236 lbsWeek 2: 235 lbs (-1 lb)
Week 3: 232 lbs (-3 lbs, total -4 lbs)
Let's hope next week is just as great!
