Cloudnine Kalyani Nagar, Pune - The latest in the Cloudnine familyI was invited for the puja and inauguration of the new hospital at Kalyani Nagar. The chief guest was Dr.Kishore Kumar, Chairman of Cloudnine hospitals. He is a neonatologist, who saw the need for a specialty hospital in maternity and childcare that is equipped with cutting edge technology and provided unparalleled care. His efforts led to the opening of the first hospital in Bangalore.
This is the second Cloudnine hospital in Pune. They have already been wowing families in Pune at the Shivajinagar facility.
I reached the venue by 10 am and was greeted by one of the Cloudnine hospital delegates who helped me with a walk-a-talk through the entire hospital.
The beautiful floral décor at the entrance is what attracted me first - and the motto of Cloudnine hospitals inscribed on the wall - Healthy Mothers, Happy Babies.
Right from the reception desk to the delivery suites, the interiors were cute and classy. The décor connects you to the city of Pune too. For instance, there is a huge painting on the wall which I completely fell in love with. It is minimalistic and exudes the charm of Pune!
At the Kalyani Nagar centre, the hospital comprises of 3 floors. The ground floor has the main inquiry/reception desk with the general OPD.
The first floor has the various OPDs, delivery suites, breastfeeding rooms, gynecologists, pediatric consultations, play area for toddlers and a cafeteria. It also occupies a neo natal care which could accommodate 18 new borns.
The hospital cafeteria is on the third floor.
The doors in the delivery suite area were adorned with blue balloons for baby boys and pink for baby girl newborns. The name board on the door also mentioned the name of the doctors taking care of the new born and mother.
You could see a personalized touch everywhere. But that is not what I really loved.
One of the best features that impressed me is a separate room for pre/post natal exercises and yoga for new moms which I don't get to see in the other hospitals. Now that was really something and I thought, "they do take the holistic care really seriously".
