Health mix adai | sathu maavu adai - an easy evening snacks recipe that you can serve for kids after they returned from school. It is a healthy supplement to boost our energy. If your kids and you are bored with having the health mix porridge ( sathu maavu kanji ), it is a best way to consume health mix. Here I made sweet sathu maavu adai. We can make savour version also. I prepare and post in future.

My mom used to prepare this health mix adai during my school days after I returned from school. With the same method, we can make ragi adai also.instead of eating sandwich and burgers, we can opt for healthy evening Indian snacks 😊. I made health mix laddu and health mix porridge. How to make health mix adai:

  1. Heat a wide kadai, add 1 & ½ cups of health mix flour and roast in low flame till nice aroma comes.
  2. Cool completely and transfer to mixing bowl.
  3. Add jaggery, coconut, cardamom powder and salt.
  4. Mix altogether by adding water little by little.
  5. Knead to a smooth dough and make as small balls.
  6. Grease banana leaf or butter paper, place the ball and press using fingers to form a thick adai as in video & picture.
  7. Meanwhile heat a tawa or dosa pan, grease with ghee and place adai. Drizzle some on top of it and cook in medium low flame for about a minute.
  8. Flip to other side and cook for another minute. If you feel the adai is dry, brush some ghee.
  9. Now the adai is ready. You can serve with a cup of tea.
