Seattle based singer and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Charbonneau goes back to the music of his youth on On The Stereo. the new single by his lo-fi indie folk rock project Summer Sleeves. He reminisces about the long drives with his dad, making their way to yet another car show, while listening to the radio.
He mentions the Beatles quite a lot, but it sounds more like a mix of Tom Petty and the Byrds. Nostalgia and melancholy are playing catch in a song that could be mistaken for a long lost seventies classic. With Alon Bassok (bass) and Mike Oprinski (lead guitar) Charbonneau brings back the power trio format, creating instantly hummable melodic rock music on a shoestring budget.
In the Throes of Woes will be released on April 23, 2021 on Jigsaw Records.
