Among the warbirds flying at the California Capital Airshow was this Sea Fury. “924” was built by Hawker-Siddeley Aircraft Ltd. at Langley, England and first flew in 1954, later delivered to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1958 for use as a Luftwaffe target tug until 1970. Frank Sanders/Sanders Aircraft purchased “924” in 1978, raced it in Reno and underwent a 2012 restoration that included the stock Bristol Centaurus engine .
