On the whole, I've been pretty restrained with my spending since christmas, not a single beauty product has graced my purchasing history, but the clothes are where I have slightly let myself down. I had a big clear-out last year of all the things that I don't really wear anymore, so was looking to update my wardrobe again, and little by little things accumulated so I thought I would pop it all in a haul post to show you all.
The first things came from Primark in the boxing day sales. I love Primark so much. Cheap, affordable, yet the clothes are so nice, it may take a while to find something, but once you do ... I've been wanting a little white collared top for aaaggggeeess, so was really happy that I found one, and the circle skirt is an almost exact dupe for the corduroy american apparel ones that I have always looked at with envy, but avoided for the £70 price tag! A couple of months later came the H&M orders. I think anyone who saw the Burberry show last year has been obsessed with heart prints ever since, and I have to say, I was exactly the same. The little shirt that I picked up fitted the bill perfectly, and the silky material and flattering cropped shape means it also works well for the pyjama-luxe type trend going on as well. The dress was more of an impulse buy; I loved the shape, thought that it would be perfect for summer, and ended up buying it!
Then came the discovery of lookbookstore, my ultimate downfall. A couple of skirts tumbled into my basket and then a pair of shorts too, whoops! The skirts are mainly for summer, I thought the crochet one would be perfect for just throwing on, and the denim circle skirt can be worn all year round (and again is an exact dupe for the american apparel ones). The grey skirt had more of a purpose in mind, as on the website I thought that it looked perfect for the work experience that I have planned for the summer, but on arrival it looks a bit too short so it may have to be for just casual wear instead. Finally the shorts, which I think are the perfect way to take mom jeans into the summer and are a really nice shape for casual wear.
