In a peaceful forest of ancient trees, yellow sunlight floods down from the sky to warm our faces. The details of the forest on the left are obliterated by a burst of streaming light and rainbows.
The warm earthy tones vibrate with the heat of this day in the woods.
In this moment, light and colors dance and shift high above us as we move along the forest floor. As this intense stream of bright sunlight fills our eyes, we feel a rush of elation.
The texture of the paint on close inspection is thick and rough. Many of the edges between shapes are diffuse, the colors blending softly into each other. The exception is the tree trunks, the hard spears of their forms shooting up into the sky.
In a clean, modern unframed style, the deep painted edges of this canvas protrude from the wall.
