Happy New Year!

Happy New Year loves!
I hope you all had a magical Christmas! I spent mines with my family and really have enjoyed relaxing and laughing.
2015 was a tough old year for me.
As some if you may know, In 2015, my mom was quite unwell and required open heart surgery. I cant lie to you and say it all went swimmingly well because it didn't. We almost lost her at one point and if I'm honest, although my sisters and I coped pretty well, it was probably the hardest time of my life. To be 80 miles away from her and knowing there was literally nothing we could do to help her was heartbreaking.
With all of that said, mom has now fully recovered and it was actually a blessing in disguise in the end up after we were told by the surgeon that had she not have had it done she would likely have died within the month because it was so severe. I'm so proud of mom and I will never ever take good health for granted now.
Aside from that, we lost another very dear friend (who was also the mother of our other friend) who was practically like family to us. I know her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts so I cannot even imagine the pain her incredible family must be going through.
Aside from that a lot of other very personal problems have rocked me, but amongst the heartache there has been some incredible times..
We all managed to get to New York for my Nana's 80th birthday gift! Mum was given the all clear a week prior to going which was just amazing and my Nana got to do the things she's always dreamt of (sadly, without papa).
Career wise, I've been lucky enough to work with some more amazing companies, I was invited to three movie premieres, I was invited to have cocktails with Joan Collins to launch her beauty range, I was featured in a magazine and I began working with purely social media who I freelance for every week.
I've met some amazing friends and reestablished some old friendships. I've had some insane nights out with my friends, and I've even gotten rid of a few people who just do not have a place in my life anymore. That might sound really negative but actually, its lifted a huge weight from my shoulders.
I dont know about you, but I'm quite happy to see the back of 2015 and whilst I'm a bit afraid of looking ahead, I'm optimistic about what 2016 has to offer.
Happy new year everyone!
