What can I say about the past year?
First, the good news: The mid-term elections on Nov. 4 delivered a stinging rebuke of Obama and the Democrats by returning Republicans to an even bigger majority control of the House of the Representatives, while stripping Democrats of control of the Senate.
The bad news: Despite the GOP being elected to a majority of both House and Senate, Congress approved a budget bill at the end of the year which continues, instead of repeal, Obamacare, as well as funds Obama’s reckless “border surge”. Yes, yes, I know the Repubs say that’s because they don’t yet have control of both houses of Congress, which will happen in the new year. To that I say “bovine excrement”.
Meanwhile, Obama continues to bypass Congress with his executive orders and executive memos, which a federal judge has ruled is unconstitutional. The judge can rule all he wants, but unless Congress has the fortitude to do something about it, the ruling means very little — and Obama knows it.
