Happy New Month: Films of November 2012

Posted on the 05 December 2012 by Limette @Limette9
Yes, I'm still here. Hope you didn't miss me too much, but it's going to continue almost like this for a while. I'll try and write a little more, but I can't promise anything.Good news is I'm getting back into my film-watching mood/ mode, which really satisfies me more than I would have thought. So even though I don't write much, I do watch more again.I'm also in SUPER-CHRISTMAS-MOOD/ MODE!
Here's a song for the christmas mood - can't get it out of my head. Need to see Top Hat really soon.
And a video of the christmas choir I'm in, it's from last week. I think we're getting really good. (It's a danish/ scandinavian tradition that girls sing at christmas, with the white dresses and the lights).
WATCHED FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME
Happy New Month: Films of November 2012
28 Days Later... (2002) Danny Boyle - UKReally cool, though not very creepy. I liked the scene where he walks around London all alone. Also, Cillian Murphy is just too hot.8.0
Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) Manmohan Desai - IndiaNoooot really what I had expected. Sorry, but this is not my kind of humor. I liked the beginning sequence though, with the hospital beds and the names.6.5
Breaking Dawn, Part II (2012) Bill Condon - USAA fitting end to the saga. Yes, I'm one of those who don't hate it - the books are a thousand times better, but what the hell. 6.4
Die Vermessung der Welt (2012) Detlev Buck - GermanyBeautiful visuals, but the purpose was kind of vague... The acting was great though.6.5Happy New Month: Films of November 2012
En kort en lang (2001) Hella Joof - DenmarkSweet Danish comedy on a gay couple of which one man falls in love with a woman. Gotta love it (not only because of Mads Mikkelsen...). Ahem. 6.8
Fish Tank (2009) Andrea Arnold - UK/ NetherlandsAbsolutely awesome, you know I still find myself thinking about this movie. 8.5
Heroine (2012) Madhur Bhandarkar - IndiaToo long, too dramatic, too long. Kareena was great though. But that's no excuse.6.4
Love Actually (2002) Richard Curtis - UK/ USAThe perfect christmas movie. Why did I never stumble upon it before? Anyway, this was my first review for The Artifice, and I'm proud of it.7.4
Happy New Month: Films of November 2012
Teri Meri Kahaani (2012) Kunal Kohli - IndiaAnd another lame Indian rom-com... Meh.5.4

Dhoom: 2 (2006) Sanjay Gadhvi - IndiaQuite stupid too and even more fun. Cult 2. 7.0
Drive (2011) Nicolas Winding Refn - USAA great movie to watch the morning after a party. Or when you have that teenage-y kind of lovesickness that's disappeared already next day.9.4
Groupies bleiben nicht zum Frühstück (2010) Marc Rothemund - GermanyA cute movie on what it's like to fall in love with a rockstar. 7.1
