Bonjour Mighty Women of God and Happy New Year to all of YOU! Ladies, I want to invite you to join me in my spiritual challenge to read the entire bible in one year. My goal is to update my reading daily on this website and share any insights that I may receive. Let's do this together and grow stronger in our faith and love walk with Jesus. Genesis 1:1-2:25, Mathew 1:1-2:12, Psalm 1:1-6, Proverbs 1:1-6
As I read and meditated today one of the things that stood out to me was how God rested on the 7th day and blessed it. So many of us know how to be busy, but we haven't learned how to rest, especially how to rest in the Lord. This year, I will put into practice the proper balance of work, rest, and play time. Like my son said last week, even God rested:)
In Mathews, the bible states how Joseph did not sleep with his wife until baby Jesus was born (Matthew 1:24). Now today, from the ministers in the pulpit to the guy in the club, many of these males claim that a man practicing abstinence is impossible. But it's such a blessing to know that there are men like Joseph who allow God to keep them pure until their wedding night like NBA basketball player A.C. Green. All things are possible through Christ Jesus, and He will always have men and women who are willing to live for Him and be His chosen people!
