I'm finding it really hard to believe that Christmas is only a few days away. This is probably because, having been in hospital for a week at the beginning of this month, I haven't been getting out much -- and before you ask, I'm doing really fine and am well on the road to being 100% mobile -- and, for the first time for many years, am not going to London to spend Christmas with the family. My lovely daughter is here with me for the weekend, and my friend and I will be having a posh lunch in a lovely restaurant by a lake on the day itself. So I shall be enjoying myself, though in a different way from the usual. Perhaps that's why I liked this vintage card -- a reminder of other years of celebrations -- though my family is rather smaller and has never actually danced round the Christmas tree.
