It was 14th January 2011. I was 17, was about to start my January A2 exams and most importantly, I had gone through a very messy break-up and as a distraction method, decided to start a Project 365 blog and also write a more 'personal' blog alongside it...and Kellicious was born. At the time, I'd just got into the fashion and beauty blogging 'scene' and decided I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. However, I spent the first year of this blog investing a lot more time into my 365 Project, which was rather successful and became an instant hit amongst my friends, and the greater public. I've come a long way since then in terms of blogging and my personal life. I remember getting my first PR e-mail and almost falling off my bed!
In the lifespan of this blog, I've completed my A-Levels, got into university, moved to Bristol and in the process moved house twice, made some amazing friends, got two jobs, become an Auntie for the second and third time, turned 18, then turned 19...passed first year of university, tried (and failed) to find myself a man...albeit a few succesful dates and brief relationships and posted some really popular blog posts - in particular, my personal reflection on bullying, which became the talk of sixth form and ended up being used in school end of year services after the school chaplain got wind of it. and my Schwarzkopf BC Oil review at 1443 views...tiny compared to some blogs but a rather big achievement for me! Looking back through the posts I've written, I've realised how far I've come along as a person in 2 years and it's kind of scary!
It's now 14th January 2013, I'm 19 going on 20, I'm a day away from finishing my first set of 2nd year university exams, I am in the happiest place I've ever been and Kellicious is about to get a kick up the bum and become the blog I've always envisioned it to become. I don't expect to become some super blogger overnight but I want to extend my reach and feel like I really do have a place in the blogger world...I've been a bit scatty and unreliable this year, but that will change.
To all my followers old and new, thank you for sticking around. I appreciate all your kind words and I promise 2013 will be an awesome year for the blog.
