There are many things that haunt our thoughts and dreams
I want to rail out at the jihadists and warn them of their certain destruction. But as soon as I start, the realization settles in that our own government is secretly supporting ISIS (the real reason Obama wants to prevent an investigation into the Benghazi attack).
Following that, I remember that the Muslim Brotherhood has access to the highest levels of our government.I start thinking it’s time the generals in the Pentagon do their constitutional duty, and remove Obama from office. But of course I remember that the president has systematically replaced the patriots at the top of our military with people who will do his bidding, and that he has also placed radical muslims into influential posts at the Pentagon.
I look at the news of the murdered French journalists, and then at the long line of atrocities committed against the innocent by ISIS, while Obama makes a pretense of fighting them, all the while continuing t0 train and supply the jihadist killers.
While in this foggy condition I have a constellation of threats floating around my thoughts. Threats common to all people at all times, some threats specific to this moment in history. Where do we turn for help, the police? Where do we turn for straight information, the news media? How about the internet? But the internet is filled with more disinformation than honest reporting. And if you’ve spent any time on youtube, watching conspiracy theories, you’ll realize what a waste of precious time that is.

That is what it’s like right now. You can watch the news on TV, and get more spin than fact. You can listen to talk radio, and get riled up by the gripe of the day. You can throw away your sleep watching Alex Jones and Glenn Beck, as they convince you that your ruin is imminent, possibly within the hour.
You must keep your fighting spirit intact, but also keep your balance to avoid lashing out like a fool.
OR let God sort it all out
Slam the brakes, get to a quiet place, open a Bible, and take a half hour of mental and emotional rest:
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
He says,
“Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
– Psalm 46
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”
– Matthew 11:28
“Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.”
– Isaiah 53:4-6
