I finally finished the half-finger crochet gloves that I was working on for the beaded stitch holder on my Surprisingly Simple Project to Save your Needlework?  That beaded stitch holder really made keeping track of the rows I was working on when crocheting in the round so much easier.   The first glove took me days to finish, but after I got the hang of it, the second glove was finished in two evenings.

The pattern I started using was found at The Happy Hooker Blog.  Thank you, Happy Hooker!  I made a few minor adjustments and still want to work on playing with the pattern to make different sizes.

This set of gloves was made especially for my Mom and is a project I can claim as part of the Christmas Love Campaign.   Being a part of the Christmas Love Campaign is so easy.   We are asking that you create something…ANYTHING..handmade and give this away to someone…ANYONE.   As I said, I’m giving this to my mom.   My mom has a condition called scleroderma, which causes her hands to get very cold and her fingers go numb.  If her hands get too cold, her fingertips will callus and hurt her.   She wanted a pair of gloves she could wear around the house and still function and use her computer and phone.   I used a worsted wool in a variegated pattern to make these.  I think they will look fabulous on my mom.  I’ll get to find out this weekend when I see her.

And finally….my winner from last week’s Burlap & Ribbon Wine Bag where I was offering a chance to win a prize package full of Ranger supplies is…

Tasha H. November 21, 2013 at 2:23 amI have done all of the above and shared the cards on the linky app… I love this wine bag and the beautiful bow! And burlap is one of my favorites too! The smell is nice too….

Congratulations, Tasha.   Please email me with your contact information and we will get your prize package on its way to you.

Thanks for stopping by today.
