When I think of Nicky Clarke, I think of a luxurious hair care brand. The success of Nicky and his brand can be seen straight away whilst I'm flicking through his celebrity clientele, seeing the likes of Kate Moss and David Bowie to name only a few. Impressive to say the least! Renown for being one of Britain's top hair stylists, you could imagine my excitement when this Volume Package* was dropped off on my doorstep.

In regards to to haircare, I've never had the chance to try anything like this so the box was torn open immeadiately. Decorated with his signature brand logo, the packaging screams luxe. I'm all for voluminous hair, but I have never understood the difference that a shampoo and conditioner can make so I was interested in seeing if these could do what other hightstreet brands haven't been able to. The products certainly smell good whilst in the shower but after drying I didn't see a huge impact on the volume; My roots had certainly lifted slightly but I think it'd have a bigger impact if I knew how to dry my hair properly. I'm a kind of 'whip your hair and blast it' kinda gal. Nevertheless, my hair felt squeaky clean.

The real show stoppers of this set is definitely the shine spray and the instant backcomb. When I first sprayed the Hair Raising Spray I was expecting a hairspray texture but it's surprisingly a lot more wet and heavier, so it's best to spray at a distance. However, it does what it says on the tin and adds shine and lift to the hair. Despite hating this particular type of product in the past, the Tease Me Backcombing Powder really impressed me. It doesn't feel overly tacky yet it adds that 'dirty grit' texture to your hair that helps you maintain that oomph.

It's nice to try something a little bit fancy sometimes eh? Everyone needs that lil' bit of luxury in their life! Do you think products like this are worth the money? Have you ever bought into a name? Let me know in the comments below, thanks for reading!
