I don't know why, but recently the urge to lop off some of my locks came, so for better or worse (I'm still undecided as to whether I like it or not :/) my hair now is now a good 6+ inches shorter. It's only been a few days, but already I've found a few favourites that I can tell will become favourites, and whilst I'm not sure I love the hair, I can tell you I love these ...
Macadamia is a brand that I have wanted to try for ages ... always sticking to the budget dupes, I wondered if I was really missing out, and I have to say, it's a bit of a mixed bag. The No Tangle brush is where the true love lies ... it's like a tangle teezer (which, by the way, used to be my favourite) but the handle makes it so much easier to use and the bristles gentle detangle the knots, without pulling on the hair, at all. The oil treatment, to be fair to it, is lovely, but I'm just not sure that it does anything more for me than that of a normal hair oil, apart from coming with a heftier price tag. It's one that it will be a pleasure to get through, but I'm not sure a repurchase will be in order.
When getting my hair cut, I did actually ask for it to be a little longer than it was cut. It's a sad moment when hair falls to the floor that you wanted on your head, but I'm determined to make sure I look after it really well to make sure that it grows back quicker, and healthier than it did before. Lots of nourishing masks are on the menu, so I've been experimenting with a few, and my favorite has to be the Deep Hair Repair Mask from Macadamia. Just moisturising enough, without being greasy and it can be applied quickly and easily, without having to wait around for ages for it to sink in.
I'm blaming Amelia for my last addiction, the Charles Worthington Texturising Spray, which she said was a dupe for the Oribe Dry Texturising spray. It's a great penny saver, six pounds compared to a whopping £38 (who can pay that much for a hairspray?), which adds crazy volume and a little bit of grit and texture to stop things from looking too perfect.
Do you have any other tips for styling shoulder length hair, I need them, please ...
