You will rarely see my hair straight despite it naturally being that way. My thin hair needs a little bit of life when I wear it down so I tend to always give it a curl. Onto this odd looking thing...I have seen this shape of curling wand before and was always like 'EH?' and looked bewildered at the oddly shaped contraption. I just couldn't understand how you could create a curl with something of this, erm, structure. Alas, when the Mark Hill 'Wicked Waver' (£29.99) came into my collection, it was my turn to see if I could make it work. I went in completely blindsided, which may have been a bit silly as I didn't have a friggin' clue what I was about to do...
I tipped the wand upside down, grabbed my hair and just began to wrap - quickly realising that there's a certain 'knack' to it that you have to master as it doesn't just wrap as you would with a normal wand. It's something that you have to try a couple of times before you get the hang of it, as it takes a little bit longer than your average wand. I am obsessed with the final look that it gives, I'm so used to ringlet curls but the wave that this gives is a lot more natural and 'messy' looking. After applying the Freeze Hold Spray (£5.99) and giving it a good shake and shimmy, I was ready for the day. I can definitely see myself using this wand when I've got a little bit more time to take on my hair, I'm obsessed with the beach vibe that it gives off!
