You will rarely see my hair straight despite it naturally being that way. My thin hair needs a little bit of life when I wear it down so I tend to always give it a curl. Onto this odd looking thing...
I have seen this shape of curling wand before and was always like 'EH?' and looked bewildered at the oddly shaped contraption. I just couldn't understand how you could create a curl with something of this, erm, structure. Alas, when the Mark Hill 'Wicked Waver' (£29.99) came into my collection, it was my turn to see if I could make it work. I went in completely blindsided, which may have been a bit silly as I didn't have a friggin' clue what I was about to do...
I tipped the wand upside down, grabbed my hair and just began to wrap - quickly realising that there's a certain 'knack' to it that you have to master as it doesn't just wrap as you would with a normal wand. It's something that you have to try a couple of times before you get the hang of it, as it takes a little bit longer than your average wand. I am obsessed with the final look that it gives, I'm so used to ringlet curls but the wave that this gives is a lot more natural and 'messy' looking. After applying the Freeze Hold Spray (£5.99) and giving it a good shake and shimmy, I was ready for the day. I can definitely see myself using this wand when I've got a little bit more time to take on my hair, I'm obsessed with the beach vibe that it gives off!
Let me know if you've ever seen wands of this shape and if you have ever used one of them. I'd love to know your thoughts! How do you wear your hair? Are you a curler or a straightener? I'm definitely loving these curls!Megan. xoFacebook - Twitter - Instagram - Bloglovin - YoutubeCheck out my January advertiser - Loveable Vogue!
