Hail to the King

Hail to the King
Now then, this boy really has been a long time coming. Having heard his music a few years ago, and had the pleasure of meeting him myself, I can say with absolute confidence that I am releasing a gem onto the world in this post. Let me be the first to introduce you to the previously unheralded, yet prodigiously talented, Alex King. Operating under the pseudonyms Aykay and Good Noise, Alex's unique sound transcends genre, manifesting itself in anything from meticulously crafted downtempo dubstep to grinding techno. All share a depth and complexity of composition which far surpasses the hit-making subculture of modulated bass. Alex avoids the all too obvious pitfalls of the mainstream and steers well clear of the crowd pleasing, simplistic and ultimately impermanent sounds that others rely on to get people's attention. This loyalty to form has served him well and 2010 saw him getting some well-deserved recognition by Foamo and Kissy Sell Out. Expect big things from this one in the future. He has kindly sent over for your considerations a few snippets of stuff he is working on at the moment, alongside some of his older tracks, all of which are highly recommended.
