I’ve been playing video games since I was about 10. Most of the time I shared games with my friends but I was never a big collector. Even though if I collected video games throughout rest of the 14 years, I would now have about 1000 or maybe even less. And, I’m certain I would never even have a chance to get close to Michael Thomasson, who now holds the Guinness World Record for having the largest collection of video games - 10,607.
31-year-old gamer has has been collecting video games since he was only 12 and so far he has all the gaming systems ever released and a huge room full of thousands of video games. Apparently, this is not his complete collection as he had sold his collection two times, in 1989 to find some cash to get a new Sega Genesis, and then in 1998 to pay for his wedding. Yeah, that’s right. He’s happily married and also has a 5-year-old, according to Huffington Post.

Thomasson says his game collection is worth about $700,000 to $800,000. He also says the collection is growing every day and right now the number has surpassed 11,000 since the Guinness Record submission.
So, do you think you could ever beat this guy?
