Gung Ho Captures Australia’s Dreamy Imagery [free Mp3]

When you think of Australia’s Gold Coast, you most likely think of beach babes, hot sand, cool breezes, and eternal summers — probably for good reason. There seems to be a lot of good music coming out of Australia right now that evokes this dreamy imagery: San Cisco, Bleeding Knees Club, and Voltaire Twins are prime examples, and Gung-Ho is no exception. The Brisbane-based, indie-pop-surf-rock trio features jangly guitars, echo-y vocals and drums that just won’t quit. The band is currently working on their debut release, an EP which is rumored to be come out later this year. Until it’s out, you can check out a few of the band’s tracks on their Bandcamp page, which offers a sample of the infectious, breezy beach pop that we (I especially) cannot get enough of. Make sure to follow their Facebook page, and keep your eyes and ears open for news on their upcoming EP!
