I'm going to attempt to cut down my *shite talk* for this guest post on the fabulous BLC but I can't make any promises. I apologize in advance. Everyone loves a review, good or bad, right? Well this one is good. So good that I hope you all run out to your nearest Urban Decay counters and purchase these guys straight away. If you are like me and have the oiliest skin in the world, then you will know the pain of trying to keep that carefully applied make-up in place for a good few hours. In my case I get about 2, at a push 3 hours of looking reasonably alright and then I will catch a glimpse of my reflection and I look like I'v turned into a wax sculpture which will melt at any moment. Roll up the Urban Decay setting sprays. These yokes are by no means a new product, they have been out for ages, while having a huge fan base and I can easily see why. They work like absolute magic, in particular the All Nighter spray. I'm not sure why the De-Slick didn't work as well as it should, considering its marketed as being " />. Howaya, I’m Aisling from ilovebarrystea.
If any of you have read my blog before, you’ll know that about 70% of any of my posts contain absolute blabber and the other 30% contains useful information (or so I hope). I’m going to attempt to cut down my *shite talk* for this guest post on the fabulous BLC but I can’t make any promises. Apologies in advance.
Everyone loves a review, good or bad – right? Well this one is good. So good that I hope you all run out to your nearest Urban Decay counters and purchase these guys straight away. If you’re like me and have the oiliest skin in the world, then you’ll know the pain of trying to keep that carefully applied make-up in place for a good few hours. In my case I get about 2, at a push 3 hours of looking reasonably alright and then I catch a glimpse of my reflection and realise I’ve turned into a wax sculpture liable to melt at any moment.
Roll up the Urban Decay setting sprays. These yokes are by no means a new product, they have been out for ages, while having a huge fan base and I can easily see why. They work like absolute magic, in particular the All Nighter spray. I’m not sure why the De-Slick didn’t work as well as it should, considering it’s marketed as being “oil controlling” but to be fair, I have a serious amount of oil to control. I think its just a matter of trying out both and seeing what works for you. I picked up a smaller size bottle of both of these as at the time, I couldn’t figure out which was best but after a couple of days the little purple cap was declared a winner and I have been using it every single day since.
Aside from the fact that it kept my makeup in place all day, and of course all night, it lasted waaay longer than I expected so the price tag is certainly worth it. I usually use about 6 sprays all over my face, around 3 times a day and I bought this at the end of May so that says a lot about how much product is in this little bottle. I would recommend everyone set their make-up in place, especially in the crazy heat, as you can rest assured that it will still look the same as it did when you walked out the door. If you go for a smaller bottle, it’s handy to just chuck it in your bag and top up only if necessary throughout the day. My favorite thing about this product? I look half decent the next morning even if I rolled into bed after a night out and wasn’t arsed taking all the slap off. That alone earns it a huge thumbs up from me.
Oh and not forgetting the more dry skinned girls (you lucky folk), check out UD “Chill” spray, I’ve heard it’s a good one.These can be found on any of the Urban Decay counters in Debenhams, Boots or online and retail at; €12 for a travel sized bottle (30ml).
I hope I didn’t bore the arses of you all and you enjoyed this post – if you did you can check out more ramblings on;
