By Veganbloggersunite @veganblogsunite

Welcome back everyone to a brand new week! We’re starting off with a brand new blogger to the VBU! family. Ben is the author of Awesome. Vegan. Blog. Here’s a short bio of his blog: “Dedicated to food and a world of adventures, musings and findings; Awesome Vegan Blog is a place for DELICIOUS and healthful food and food experiences. Focusing on “haute cuisine” quality food, spontaneous kitchen experiments, original and reproducible recipe ideas (and fresh, local, organic, sustainable cooking and ingredients), this blog serves as a record of the experiences I have had and a guide for the raw food world. This site is a bootstraped project- with most posts, photos, videos, and text created and edited on iPad or other mobile device. May this platform inspire you and give way for the creation of a fun, healthy, and conscious lifestyle.” Follw Ben’s adventures through his blog and Facebook page and Ben’s About Me page: www.about.me/benblue. Feel free to reach out and email Ben. Welcome Ben!

Brazil nuts, lemon juice, turmeric, pink salt.

Soak Brazil nuts in water 45 minutes to soften. Strain and blend with lemon juice, turmeric, and pink salt. Add a touch of water to homogenize consistency. Form into small cylinders (think: crottin goat cheese). Dehydrate at 40C for 8 hours. Place in freezer for 2 hours. Serve with cracked black pepper, olive oil, and Italian herbs.

{NOTE: Did you notice animal products in the recipes on the first few pages of this blog’s history? That’s because this blog started when I was still eating animals (and consuming dairy) and before the transition to a fully raw lifestyle!}
