GRW 27: 5 Tips for Healthy, Fuller Lashes

Well, you fake it.

Today we are talking about ways to keep your lashes healthier and stronger. Piling on the mascara and layering up on falsies can be brutal to your natural lashes. Let’s discuss ways to keep them safe. And, you never know. Over time you won’t need to “fake it” as much.

Wash Them Thoroughly

Make sure you’re removing all of your eye makeup when washing your face. If your facial cleanser doesn’t quite get the job done, invest in a good makeup remover. There’s always Olive oil, Coconut Oil or even Vaseline. They are phenomenal at removing stuck on makeup.

Moisturize Them Often

Our hair need to be moisturized. Our lashes need to be moisturized too. I’m going to mention the trio again: olive oil, coconut oil and vaseline. These are all great for moisturizing your lashes. Using your middle finger or a Qtip, apply to the base of your lashes and swipe across the tips. This will keep lashes stronger and less prone to breakage.

Apply a Good Mascara

This is so important. If your mascara leaves your lashes too hard it can cause breakage. Pay attention to your lashes. If you begin to see lashes falling out, switch mascaras. Also consider using a primer before applying mascara. Primers enhance the affect of mascara and you won’t need to apply as much.

Eat Well

I know. It’s like a nagging mother that won’t quit. But it’s basic science: Healthy foods = healthy skin and hair = healthy lashes. Beef up on protein and veggies. It will help keep your lashes strong and healthy.

Lash Serums

Sometimes you want results fast. That’s where serums come into play. You can get prescription grade serums such as Latisse or from cosmetic companies like Lashem. These serums are applied to your lashes daily and speeds up growth. Most products deliver results within 3 to 6 weeks.

So tell me. Are you one of those people born with gorgeous lashes? Or are you faking it lol? Be sure to let me know what you think! in the comments below.
