In today’s edition of What’s What In Beauty and Fashion we explore the latest buzz in makeup and beauty. We’re going to start with fragrances.
New Fragrance: Well, New With a Twist
Juicy Couture is releasing a spin-off of Viva La Juicy. The new, sister scent will be a clone of the original with a few extra notes. Honeysuckle, sandalwood, and vanilla are just a few additions to one of the best fragrances ever created. I just hope it can live up to its older sister’s reputation.
New Nail Polish Shades!
China Glaze’s Sunsation collection contains 12 shades of summer. Not a wide spectrum of shades in my opionion – mainly teals, purples and pinks. The shades are still very pretty and worth checking out. There are 2 sub-collections available: Neon and Creme.
Sally Hansen has added a couple of new and exciting shades to her Insta Dri Line. Be sure to check those out at your local Walmart or drugstore. I’ll have Mango Team which I will be swatching really soon so do stay tuned.
Maybelline Pigments and Covergirl Whip Creme
Maybelline has released their Tattoo shades as pigments. Until now, drugstore pigments had been, well, sad. The colors are bold and fun. They are great for adding a little flair to your makeup during the summer.
Covergirl finally released their version of “whipped” foundation. It’s called Whipped Creme {how clever!}. I’ve already seen this in my local drugstore. There’s a tonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn of shades which is awesome. Although I think they are a little late, I’ll still give it a try. I have to see how it compares to Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mouse and Loreal’s Souffle foundation. CHALLENGE!
Summer Fashion Is So NOT Trendy
Summer fashion = {un}Trendy fashion. Everything goes! Plaid, boots, polka dots, bold prints, florals, neons, pastels, boots, sandals, short shorts and crop tops. Yup! It’s all appropriate during the summer. So instead of talking trends, let’s talk a staple that every woman should have: The Maxi Dress.
The maxi dress is effortless, easy and just fabulous. It’s super versatile especially during the summer. Add a hobo bag and a pair of wedges and you’re ready for any agenda. It’s time to start pulling those beauties out of your closets or stocking up on some new designs and colors. You can check out online shops like Lulus and PinkBasis for cute maxi dresses that are within budget.
Listerine Eyes
No. Well. Not really.
Allergies are usually having a festival during this time of year. Be sure to stock up on allergy medication and eye drops. I’ve been really happy with Rohto Arctic Ice Eye drops. They are amazing. Not only to do they whiten, but they also “wake you up!”
