nail polish collections
Essie introduces a wedding collection (fit for royalty by the way) every year. This year’s collection features four pastel lilacs and purples.
All shades are ideal for any bride-to-be’s manicure. They are great for bridal parties too.
Essie also released their summer collection in May. It has 6 bold and beautiful neon shades. It’s called DJ Play That Song. Keep in mind. These shades are also great for nail art or accent nails.

let’s talk fashion
What’s hot right now is short shorts – be sure to checkout 7 Tips For Longer, Slimmer Legs during the summer.
Crop tops are also popular during this time of year especially if you don’t mind showing off some skin.
There’s also the pajama pant!
A couple of episodes ago I spoke about pattern pants and, yes, they are still trending!
Pajama pants are very comfortable during the summer heat. They are also easy to style and a good change from the drab jeans-and-tank days.
If you’re new to prints, start off small. As you become more comfortable go for bigger and bolder prints.
Add a pair of strappy sandals or pumps for a more sophisticated flare. But always keep it simple at the top. Go with a plain black or white shirt.
on to cosmetics…
MAC released Punk Couture which is I wasn’t too fond of. It has a sorta gothic thing going – which is cool. I just was expecting a bit more color because of the “punk” in punk couture.
Then there was RiRi Woo. After weeks and weeks of buzz, it sold out in a mere 3 hours!
Basically either you hate it. Or you love it.
It’s funny. It seems like the world divided equally in two on the battle between RiRi Woo vs Ruby Woo.
I’m torn. I like the original so I really can’t love it or hate it.

Remember to slather on the sunscreen (don’t forget your lips) and use a good primer.
