Gringo Star Goes Way out [stream]

Set to release their third studio album this spring, Atlanta’s Gringo Star have already given fans a preview with a 7” released at the beginning of December. And now, to get the buzz flowing again, they’re currently on a 13-date US tour, featuring Washed Out’s Cam Gardner on drums. I’ve seen these guys on stage twice now and can wholeheartedly vouch for their live show. They all sing and share instruments, switching around for nearly every song. It’s sweaty, melodic rock and roll, and they perform it with garage band intensity — think The Kinks, except grungier and with the occasional head bang.
