unfortunately, not everywhere is family-friendly. As luck would have it, many camping and caravan holidays are designed with families in mind all over the UK. There are a number of great caravan sites and campsites which will make visitors young and old feel extremely welcome and comfortable.

If you’re looking for a great camping holiday for all the family, then look no further than Cornwall. The south-western county is popular with families all year round, and pitching up there during the summer can be very enjoyable. One Cornish site that ticks all the boxes is Hendra Holiday Park near the popular seaside resort of Newquay. As well as entertainment for the adults every night, the kids will marvel at the on-site indoor and outdoor pool complex, as well as the three adventure playgrounds.

Many farms have campsites, and Pillaton Hall Farm is no exception. Farm sites allow children to acquaint themselves with nature, and in some cases, they also get the opportunity to see farmyard animals up close. This campsite recently opened a children’s play area, while you can treat your kids to food from the on-site café, including ice cream.

Another place where family-friendly campsites are located is in or near to national parks. There are many sites in places such as Cumbria near the Lake District, North Yorkshire where the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors lie and Devon near Exmoor and Dartmoor. There, visitors can explore the parks, while also visiting nearby towns and villages for a bite to eat or a little treat.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly campsite to visit, you need to make sure that it has a play area, nearby facilities such as shops and cafes and places such as fields where they can play something like football or cricket. If it has all that, then you’re safe to visit it without risking them being bored.
