“In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill.”
– Isaiah 30:25
I was struck by this verse in Isaiah. Although it’s not directly connected to 9-11-2001, the parallel was remarkable. It speaks of God’s grace increasing as the darkness increases.
“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”
