You may know Goophone as a company that rips-off iPhones and Samsung phones to make duplicate smartphones, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are out of innovative ideas. The company is now slowly beginning to show its’ true potential by releasing the Goophone Smart Watch.
The smartwatch features an amusing combination of Android 4.0 and an interface that looks much like Windows 8. The device sports 1.54-inch 240 X 240 pixel display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage,3G, 2MP camera, HSPA+ and supports Google Play and other apps out of the box. You might even say it’s a wearable smartphone. Which is what it basically does because the Goophone Smart Watch doesn’t need to be connected to a smartphone to work its magic.

The device specs seems promising, however I’m not sure the true purpose of this device as it doesn’t seem to be able to connect a smartphone to share notifications, messages or other functions between the devices. Goophone Smart Watch also costs $300, which is the same price point of Samsung’s Galaxy Gear, yet higher than $150-dollar Pebble smartwatch.
