Google Teams Up With Samsung to Bring New Chromebook for $249

Google, the innovator of the Internet technology has unveiled their latest Chromebook, which comes made from the South Korean firm, Samsung. This affordable cloud-based laptop plans to make things easier for people who likes to stay away from computer viruses, expensive softwares and specially for those who likes to work completely on the cloud.

The new Samsung Chromebook specifications -:

  • Display - 11.6-inches with 1366×768 resolution
  • Processor - Samsung Exynos 5 Dual Processor
  • Storage - 100 GB Google Drive Cloud Storage with SSD
  • Battery life - Over 6.5 hours of battery life
  • Weight/ Thinkness - 0.8 inches thin – 2.5 lbs / 1.1 kg
  • Other features - VGA Camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, USB ports

Google recommends new Samsung Chromebook for everyone from kids to grandparents. And claims to have a super-fast speed that can boot the computer in less than 10 seconds. It even plays HD videos in 1080p very clearly and makes it easier to share things with others.

“Many people use the Chromebook today as the perfect additional computer for their home. For families, it’s easy to use and share: for kids doing homework on the couch, parents catching up on emails at the kitchen counter and grandparents staying connected on video chat. There’s no need to worry about security updates and maintenance is easy; all you need to do is charge the battery. It just works.” Sundar Pichai, SVP of Chrome & Apps stated on the blog post.

One good thing about having this Chromebook is that all your data will always stay online. Which means you can access it from anywhere using any computer, without having to worry about any data loss. Running on the latest Chrome OS also brings awesome Google apps to this computer as well as frequent updates. And the affordable $249 price of the device allows you to even consider getting one of these Chromebooks as an extra computer for the house.
