With these new tools and help from Google Maps community, the company hopes to improve Google Maps features and information regarding secluded places in many countries, starting with Taiwan, Russia and Malaysia.
“For these countries, that means clearer, more detailed depictions of points of interest like walking paths in parks or department labels in universities, a reworking of the road network with new street names and turn restrictions, and faster updates to the map.”
