Contributor works closely with publishers and allows them to set up a monthly subscription plan to let readers pay to browse without ads. Once activated, readers visiting the website will be prompted to subscribe for a $1, $2 or $3 monthly payment and browse the website without ads. Google has started testing the service with 10 partners, including Imgur, Mashable, and The Onion.
