If you have you may be like so many small businesses wondering what it is your doing? And where the hell is everyone else..

But hold stead, there are already some significant advantages in establishing a presence and building an audience on Google+.

Right now, there’s advantages to be had with Google’s search results. Google+ posts are increasingly popping up in the search engine, whilst Google+ Authorship allows us to display our profile pic in search results. The latter dramatically increasing click-through-rates.

Perhaps the biggest advantage will be when Google begins using its social data from Google+ to influence its search results. A basic explanation of this would be – If you have posted a few articles on ‘bookkeeping’ and they get a lot of engagement, then Google knows that you and your bookkeeping articles are valued to users. Therefore, they can safely rank you higher.
