Dear Friends, When I first started Susan Heim on Parenting in 2008, my twins were 4 years old, and my older boys were in their tweens and teens. I wrote several parenting books and was eager to share my knowledge with those who were also raising children. Susan Heim on Parenting was like a bonus child. I enjoyed nurturing its growth throughout the years, watching my followers grow and reviewing some wonderful products. I also picked up valuable new skills like HTML and social media marketing, which have been advantageous in other areas of my life. Now, more than twelve years later, my twins have just celebrated their 17th birthday, and my older boys have been on their own for years. My parenting journey is nearing its end (although we never truly stop parenting and guiding our children), and I’m ready to take some time to explore new adventures. I work full-time at a library and do freelance editing, so my days and nights are already full, and it’s time to pass the blogging baton to others who are still in the trenches of parenting. Therefore, I have decided to shut down Susan Heim on Parenting. I will miss it -- and you -- greatly, but it just feels like time to close this chapter of my life.
