Have you ever seen a prettier palette? One of the newest releases from Makeup Revolution - The Golden Sugar Palette - has got everybody's hearts a-flutter and here's why.
Hailed as a dupe for the infamous Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders/Blushers - something that I can't comment on with full confidence not having tried the former (although from all the swatches that I have found on line they do look incredibly similar) these eight powders are designed to be used as a mixture of blushes, bronzers and highlighters and have been my everyday pick since they first landed on my doorstop. The formula is stunning, with smooth butter-y texture and pigmentation that could rival that of many high end brands - in fact, you have to be careful not to use too much!
There are seven shimmer shades and one matte, which although a little too warm toned for me at the moment, I can imagine will make a brilliant bronzer come summer time when I have a little bit more of a natural color going on and don't resemble Caspar the Friendly Ghost the whole time. On the other hand, every single one of the other shades are absolutely stunning and I can't get enough of them. Just look at them. I use the two on the very left as highlighters, and then the rest as blush shades, and all of them add a lovely sheen to the skin that gives a beautiful soft glowing look without being really glittery and in your face like I was worried about. A super simple way to finish off your base in one swipe and with minimum effort.
All housed in a lovely quality palette with a really useful mirror in the top, this blush palette would be perfect for any beauty obsessor and I would highly recommend it to all.
