Today we're honored to announce the 2nd Honorable Mention for the 2019 Culinary Scholarship, Olivia Slater!
Olivia has been a Gastronomist since she was very young. From her essay: " My cooking passion started when my parents purchased a Little Tikes plastic kitchen. That small toy sparked my imagination in the biggest way. I was always playing with it and cutting the Velcro fruits, not even knowing that I was preparing myself for my future. My passion began to shift to the baking aspect when I got my first easy bake oven for Christmas. The joy that I had on my face in the pictures is still how I feel when I am in the kitchen."
