Today, we thrilled to announce that the recipient of the 2nd Honorable Mention for the Goedeker's Annual College Book Scholarship is Kevin Harvey!
Kevin has had an interest in engineering since middle school. His passion for the STEM field had started earlier than that, but it was galvanized in middle school.
From Kevin's essay:" While in eighth grade we had a career day at school and one of my classmate's fathers told us about his career as an engineer. It was through this medium, that I discovered that the two subjects I enjoyed the most, science and math could be used to make a living. I joined the Saturday STEM program and was able to participate in live hands-on demonstrations Kevin has had an interest in engineering since middle school. His passion for the STEM field had started earlier than that, but it was galvanized in middle school."
Kevin is currently studying to receive a degree in Computer Engineering Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Congratulations Kevin and we wish you the best for the fall semester!
