Tonight we were very kindly invited to Gloucester's brand new Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park pre-launch event. It opens tomorrow, Friday 18th October 2019 - so bookings for sessions are now being taken.
After school today we whizzed home for H to change, she munched some toast and we jumped back in the car to go for a first look inside Gloucester's brand new Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park.
The new Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park is located in the old trampoline centre next to Homebase in Metz Way. The first thing to note, is that as you arrive, the park's entrance is not at the front in line with Homebase, but is around the side of the unit (where you drive in). The signs clearly show where it is, but it's helpful for when you arrive and parking... at least you can park near the entrance.
Ninja Warrior Adventure Parks have already opened in Wigan and Stoke-on-Trent and this one in Gloucester is the first in the south. If you're in Wales, you're in luck though, as I saw a headline that one is opening in Cardiff sometime too.
Ninja Warrior Parks are indoor adventure centres which allow people of all ages to replicate what they see on TV. Ninja Warrior UK are for the whole family and bill themselves as family entertainment centres combining adventure, fitness and fun for the whole family.
Visitors are challenged to many many obstacles, some much more challenging than others! From leaping between mats to spider walls, tilting beams, scramble nets, and of course, the famous warped wall!
We had an absolutely great time, it was slightly crazy as I was chasing a tired B around too, but H had an absolutely fantastic time and was very very much wanting to get up that wall! She really got better, but got so so tired trying. It's the first time we've gone anywhere after school, maybe we'll choose a calmer activity next time and keep this for weekends! In saying that they run toddler sessions (Mini Ninja's) which have soft play in them so we'll be trying that out asap - don't worry I'll do a post on that too!
I've popped a few photos below, and will do a mini video on my YouTube channel in the next couple of days, as really it's such an action packed place, I think video will do it more justice than photos! I can see why sessions are 1 hour long, it was utterly exhausting! Being a ninja warrior is great fun, but absolutely exhausting. We'll all sleep well tonight, fingers crossed(!), saying that with kids is always risky business!
There is a cafe as well, I did notice IKEA highchairs (always a good sign!), but we didn't try any food as I had to get the girls home for dinner and school the next day, but I'm sure we'll try some next time we visit.
Bookings can now be made on the Ninja Warrior UK website, under the Gloucester location, and they are also running Mini Ninja sessions with soft play for under 5s - we'll definitely be trying one out soon.
Ninja sessions are £10 for 1 hour, and Mini Ninja's are £5. There are age restrictions so do check before you go or book! Party packages will also be available, I'll let you know more, when I can.
