Glittered Christmas Ornaments

By Vixenmade @vixenMade

How was everyone's weekend? Anyone put up their Christmas tree's?  Speaking of Christmas trees, today's project was for mine.   I wanted to keep with my living room colors for my Christmas tree this year. That includes orange, red, yellow and green. Not the normal colors you see on a Christmas tree, I know.  So it was near impossible to find orange and yellow ornaments.
Not a problem for the crafter in me.  Here's what I made.
Glittered Christmas Ornaments
I had a bunch of different ornaments leftover from the previous years that I never used.

I got together the spray paint in the colors I wanted and the glitter to match.

You'll need a plastic container and some gloves for this job.. it gets a little messy.

First spray one side of your ornament.  (If you wish, you can prime all your ornaments first, but my paint stuck to my ornaments fine so I didn't bother).

Then shake glitter over the wet paint, tapping lightly to remove any extra glitter.

Set each piece aside to dry.  Once dry, do the same to the other side.

Replace your tops of your ornament and hang in your tree or place in a dish for instant Christmas decor!

I did the same with my orange ones.  I used a white/clear glitter since I didn't have an orange glitter.  This gave them a snowy effect.

I'm loving the orange in my tree!

I also did my tree topper with yellow spray paint and gold glitter.  I love the result.

It's basically gold.  But sometimes the light catches it and you can see the yellow.

Lastly, I did some basic spray painted ornaments without the glitter.  Kind of like the ones I did last year for my kids tree.

I wanted that punch of orange and these worked perfectly!

Here's the tree altogether.  I added gold ornaments I already had and a few others.
