Glassbooks are an upbeat post-punk quartet from Scotland who have just put out their new Deluge EP. They have listened to a lot of the darker band of the Eighties and the lyrics are pretty bleak. Singer David Escudero King tries to fit in as many words as he can without screwing up the song. Lucky for him the music is all over the place, with shifting rhythms and time signatures. Danceable floor fillers and radio friendly unit shifters: none. Passion and risk taking: in abundance.
