Glasgow is in for a treat as Depeche Mode announces their upcoming visit in January of next year. The highly anticipated ‘Memento Mori’ tour will make a stop at Glasgow’s prestigious OVO Hydro on January 31, 2024, marking the commencement of the tour’s fourth leg. Prior to their performance in Glasgow, the iconic band will captivate audiences in London, Birmingham, and Manchester as they traverse the UK. Following their UK shows, Depeche Mode will embark on an exhilarating journey across Europe, gracing venues in France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, culminating their tour with a memorable finale in Cologne in April.
Earlier this year, Depeche Mode made waves with the release of their latest album in March. The album has been celebrated as a triumphant return to their musical roots, delighting fans who eagerly awaited their first release since 2017. In 2017, the band left an indelible mark in Glasgow when they performed at the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival, enthralling the audience with an intimate gig at the iconic Barrowland Ballroom. Glasgow holds a special place in Depeche Mode’s history, as they first graced the city’s stage over four decades ago at Tiffany’s, a legendary venue that once stood on Sauchiehall Street. Tiffany’s has witnessed remarkable performances by renowned acts such as Simple Minds, U2, and The Cure.
