I have missed teaching on tour this year and am excited to be working on dates and workshops for 2015. I’m thankful I have not had any vertigo episodes in many months and, after a few other health issues that scared us, I’m overall healthy and ready to go. I’ve been considering a small tow-behind trailer for all my teaching supplies but while Eileen Hull was here at my studio, we just happened to meet someone local that has a small vintage trailer he is willing to part with to a good home. I’d say it was fate speaking to me as it is the right price and was introduced while Eileen and I were brainstorming about some potential future events. wink wink
So, I’ve been saving every little bit I can and hope to bring this baby home in the next week or so. I think I need some clever little name for it. Maybe I need to get it to my house and work on it and get to know it before I can name it. I am not even sure if it is a boy or girl. It’s going to take a little work to make it pretty. It will need a new paint job and a few aesthetic detailing, but it is in overall good shape. I can’t find any water damage anywhere and it’s small enough I can pull it with my vehicle without any worries.
Look at the cute aqua/teal color inside! Just makes me want to squeal and confirms this should be MINE!!
I need to still get a hitch put on my car and then I need to learn to back up with it. I can do this though. It will be fun working on making it pretty and functional. I want it to be functional enough to travel and carry all my teaching supplies, but I also want it functional enough I can go on a little vacation or even a weekend get-away.So, stay tuned for updates on my little Art Glamper and updates on workshops. I know I’ll be in Boston & New York area in April and will be planning other dates/stores around already scheduled events. My other big goal for 2015 is to get into Canada. If you have a local store anywhere between Florida & Maine and up into Montreal, send me some contact information. Teaching the Art Life 2015 is coming soon!
