Give in to Your Vices with Oh Pep!’s ‘Doctor Doctor’ [Stream]

Spiked with spirited vocals and guitar ditties from bandmembers Olivia Hally and Pepita Emmerichs, “Doctor Doctor” is a playful anthem from the Australian folk/pop band Oh Pep!. The lyrics themselves explore self-loving and self-determination, but are also sprinkled with a touch of doubt and self-deprecation. It’s catchy, lively and carefree, but also self-aware of its stubbornness — “I know what I want and it’s not what I need” is a declaration, a confession and a celebration of hanging on (and only letting go when we are finally ready). “Doctor Doctor” gives us permission to give into our vices, accept the consequences, learn from the experience and come out as better people.
