Girls Lace Trimmed Shorts

By Vixenmade @vixenMade
Those lace trimmed shorts are everywhere.
So cute.  So not me.
And for a 5 year old?  Perfect!

Since we were already making some cut off shorts from old jeans anyways, I decided to pretty them up and add some lace.
Which she loved.
Win!

So here's how I did it.
First off, cut off your jeans legs into shorts.  You can use an existing pair to help you keep the cut straight.

Because we wanted the edge raw, I gave it a wash and roughed up the edge a little to encourage it to fray.  The fraying will get better after a few washes.

Get your lace trim and turn your cut offs inside out.

Pin the trim around the bottom edge of the shorts, like so.

Sew along the trim edge on each leg.

And that is it.
