For the second year in a row Giorgio Armani supports Paris Photo, the important international exhibition to be held at the Grand Palais in Paris November 15-18. As an official partner of the event, Giorgio Armani will support the exhibition " Recent Acquisitions" and will introduce for the second time a group of photographs that celebrate water.
Water is an important element in the work of Giorgio Armani. Since 2009 water has been the center of a social commitment signed by the designer through the project " Water for Life" which, during the last edition, has collected more than fifty-two milion liters of drinking water for Green Cross International (UNICEF for the United States) and its programs in Ghana and Bolivia.
During the exhibition "ACQUA #2" will be on display a variety of works that symbolize the power of this element and its vital energy. Giorgio Armani has selected the work of 9 photographers from those three suggested from the editors of the three institutions invited: Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Huis Marseille Amsterdam and Fotomuseum di Winterthur.
The artists chosen by Giorgio Armani for the 2012 edition of "ACQUA #2" are: Marco Breuer, Anthony Friedkin, Dodo Jin Ming, Syoin Kajii, Joel Meyerowitz, Shinichi Murayama, Toshio Shibata, Aaron Siskind, Alec Soth.
Per il secondo anno consecutivo Giorgio Armani sostiene Paris Photo, l’importante mostra fotografica internazionale che si svolgerà al Grand Palais di Parigi dal 15 al 18 novembre. Come partner ufficiale dell’evento, Giorgio Armani sosterrà la mostra “Recent Acquisitions” e presenterà per la seconda volta un gruppo di fotografie che celebrano l'acqua.
L'Acqua e un elemento importante nel lavoro di Giorgio Armani. Da 2009 l'acqua e stato il centro di un impegno sociale sottoscritto dallo stilista grazie al progetto “Acqua for Life” che, durante l’ultima edizione, ha consentito di raccogliere oltre cinquantadue milioni di litri di acqua potabile per Green Cross International (UNICEF per gli Stati Uniti) e i suoi programmi in Ghana e Bolivia.Nella mostra “ACQUA #2” saranno esposti lavori che simboleggiano il potere di questo elemento e la sua energia vitale.
