“gimme” Some New Beck [stream]

Last week, Beck released his third standalone single, separate from the two albums he’s rumored to be releasing. His last two singles, “I Won’t Be Long” and “Defriended”, were typical Beck, but the most recent effort, “Gimme”, takes the electronic vibe of “Defriended” and kicks it up five notches. The interlacing of heavily affected vocals and a consistent xylophone presence makes for an addictive, short-but-sweet electronic treat.
