We are busy this week getting ready for vacation. Well, one of us is busy piling sunglasses on his head and one is busy showing off his new kicks. I'm refilling travel-size bottles with shampoo, conditioner and such. There's laundry to do, suitcases to be brought up and aired out, backpacks to be filled with sticker books, journals, crayons and colored pencils, snacks, and surprise packs of Lego mini figures. I cleaned my camera, cleaned lenses. From the basement I dug out my old 35mm and bought two rolls of black and white film. I am so excited about this trip to Maine with my family. I am positively giddy about capturing our moments behind the lens.
I'm sure you've noticed a few more changes around the blog. Please forgive me if this drives you crazy. If you lived with me you would know that I have a bit of a problem - as in I frequently change furniture around in the rooms of our house, constantly create some sort of still life here and there, rearrange photos - that kind of thing. It seems I do that here too. I've thought for a while about hiring a graphic designer to create a header for the blog, a way to create some permanency around here. Then I put the thought on the back burner, not sure where I would even begin looking for a designer. Until recently when I met a painter at a local craft market. Instantly I felt drawn to her work and knew that if she agreed to work with me I'd have the header I've been dreaming of. Luckily, she agreed to work with me. Woohoo! I'll tell you more about her and the amazing art she creates when I get back from Maine. So, in a few weeks a new header will be up. And then maybe things around here will stop changing. Ahem.
See you tomorrow for 52 photos.
